Sarah Burton's first solo collection for Alexander McQueen


She may be 8 months pregnant with her four children, but there doesn't seem to Stella McCartney slow down a bit, if she is in any signs of Paris today.

But one of Stella's biggest fortés is tailoring, and her signature mannish blazer is going nowhere anytime soon. The latest incarnation came with bracelet-length sleeves (so-called to show off your arm candy) in black, white and grey.
Trousers were slim-fitting with front pleats and turn-ups at the ankle, while shirts and polo shirts were buttoned right to the top (not a look for those with Christina Hendricks' curves).
A lively fruit print bearing oranges and lemons was a highlight of the collection - a zesty splash of tropical colour that promises to be more than welcome when the collection goes on sale next February.

Also an undeniable marker of summer weather was the inclusion of cornflower blue chambray denim, seen on boxy boyish shorts and tunics.
But, as any English rose worth her wellies knows, no British summer is complete without its fair share of rain - and a yellow cagoule with co-ordinating sunglasses was a witty reference to our obsession with the weather.
Former Beatle Sir Paul was full of pride when asked by The Telegraph what he thought of his daughter's show.
'She was amazing; she always is,' he said.

Today is the penultimate day of Paris Fashion Week, and a month-long tour for buyers and press that has taken in London, New York and Milan.
Later today will be Sarah Burton's first solo collection for Alexander McQueen following the designer's tragic suicide earlier this year.
