Florence's best-kept secret is the Salvatore Ferragamo shoe museum

Alice Bianchi-Clark and the Pinocchio that belonged to her father Family favourite: Alice Bianchi-Clark and the Pinocchio that belonged to her father
At the start of my whistle-stop tour of Florence, it is carnevale. Children walk the streets dressed in maschere (fancy dress), trailing coloured paper confetti and ribbons in front of the anonymous whitewashed building with mint-green shutters where Collodi was born (Via Taddea 25). Around the corner is Mario's, one of the oldest fiaschetterias/trattorias in town, with chequered paper tablecloths (Via Rosina 2/R). Daddy (who is Tuscan) says that originally these were haunts for the poor, where men such as Collodi would come to play cards, drink and mingle with the ladies. After all, Pinocchio was written to repay a gambling debt.
Bacon flavor from the balcony into the fruit centrale mercato - - veg market is in a new artistic building.

Brunelleschi church of SAN lorenzo paces. The rough stone positive attitude and delicate interior. Michelangelo in church chapel Medici may have a portal (open), but it's definitely worth a visit. In the corner of the small chapel benozzo gozzoli (entrance is in Riccardi Medici yourself 7). This is the most Florence in magic, I'm glad I'm not lonely.

A father to his daughter elevator blond shoulder. "You can see many?" His eyes staring at her coos on murals. "Daddee, Daddee tower, rapunzel!" She cried, pointing to a distant castle. Father and I exchanged smiling. Fairy tales are not suitable for old people.

In architecture, staring at the diamond Duomo - how green, pink, as magnets attract me. The crowd gathered around Ghiberti near the door, flashing baptistery gold - wrapped chocolate chips. From there it is Giambologna around the statue of raping women, Loggia speak Lanzi square, Signoria Della Catholic. A student is deliberately occupied the victim's hand to the sky, and that the essence of capture the details, her trouble.

The ice cream shop for Grom Oche bypass (24R). I walked past the uffizi gallery and it's team, in Lungarno, through the Ponte vecchio, it curled up jewelry shopping mecca to before the Tornabuoni through.
Florence's best-kept secret is the Salvatore Ferragamo shoe museum (Piazza Santa Trinita 5R) and its Creations boutique selling limitededition replicas of shoes made for Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner and Ingrid Bergman. Coincidentally, the range includes a Harlequin-style cork sandal ( Collodi's Pinocchio wears cork shoes and befriends Arlecchino at the puppet theatre).
