Two Santiago city council urged their colleague support a plan Monday in important buildings destroy horton plaza, city parks.
Kevin Faulconer, its region including downtown, David's south of downtown area representative, said the plan would change this region.
Faulconer said the result would be "a world class open the parks and playgrounds of the shopping centers in the north of Broadway, the fourth grade avenue and Broadway cycle.
As an agreement with city shopping center will book, 200 events in the park every year in the next 25 years.
The building targeted for destruction currently houses a Sam Goody music store and the upscale clothier Abercrombie & Fitch, but is mostly unoccupied, said Jerry Engen, senior vice president of corporate development for Westfield Shopping Malls.
