A study of True Religion’s ‘denim library’

If you’re indecisive, get ready to spend a lot of time at True Religion.
The premium denim store opened its first Orange County store last week at Fashion Island with a huge “denim library.”
Leather stools marked with True Religion’s signature “U” logo face a bar. Behind the bar is a rack full of samples and cubbies of folded jeans.
About 10 to 15 main styles for women and men each vary in embellishment, color and stitching, adding up to about 80 distinct versions for each gender.
Want to try one on? Pull a sample that appeals to you and then ask for your size.
Sizes for women are available from 23 to 32, although only limited styles are available in size 23. Men’s jeans are in sizes 28 to 38, with some limited items available up to size 44.

True Religion does not do alterations on site but can suggest a tailor

True Religion does not do alterations on site but can suggest a tailor. I’d suggest you ask the tailor to use the original hem when they shorten the jeans.
If you decide to fold or roll, True Religion takes special care with the inside details that you might make visible, using French seams, for example.
Those touches are what make True Religion “premium denim.” All the stitching is done by hand, and unique studs and embellishments such as Swarovski crystals are added.
Prices range from $172 to $383 and depend upon the embellishment and treatment of the denim, including whiskering, dyeing and abrading.

True Religion already has a store at Fashion Island

While high-end jeans brand Rock & Republic recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, two other luxury denim labels recently announced their expansion plans for Orange County.
Japanese-basedEdwin Denim will sell its men’s line in September in about 70 stores in the U.S., including the American Rag Cie store at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. True Religion, which already has a store at Fashion Island, is slated to open a store at Los Cerritos Center May 7 and The Shops at Mission Viejo May 13.
The two local stores will sell jeans priced between $172 and $319, according to True Religion.

Is religion a road? A mode? A code?

Almost everybody who said there is only one way identified that way as Jesus. What does that really mean? Is the way of Jesus (or any other religion) a road? Is it a series of steps one takes? Certainly Jesus taught a path, a way to live. It is a way based on charity to the poor and kindness to our fellow man. It is a path of doing the right thing in life. This path of behavior leads to a better world. Can an atheist follow this path? Can someone take the teachings of Jesus, the road of behavior taught by another religion, into his or her heart without believing in supernatural phenomena?
Perhaps the one correct religion that readers speak of is defined by "modes" of thought and behavior. Is it important that you focus on the image of Jesus and the symbol of the cross? Is that the one true religion?
